NETWORK ENGINEER - LONDON - BANKING - £40,000 plus benefits
This role of a Network Engineer (checkpoint, ccna, ccnp, ccsa, ccse, cisco) has come up for a distinguished Bank based in the City of London. The Network Engineer (checkpoint, ccna, ccnp, ccsa, ccse, cisco) role is to Support the Cisco LAN Infrastructure, Monitor and react to the networks queue of the incident management fault ticket system and Troubleshooting data network faults, providing tier 1 & tier 2 support. They will also need to Ensure network documentation is maintained and accurate and be Pro-active capacity planning, network monitoring and h/w maintenance and upgrades.
The role is a shift pattern in a team, where you will work on a 2 week on 1 week off basis. The network engineer (checkpoint, ccna, ccnp, ccsa, ccse, cisco) will require the below skills.
Required skills for the Network Engineer (checkpoint, ccna, ccnp, ccsa, ccse, cisco)
Good numerical and English Language formal qualifications
Good experience with Cisco hardware and IOS
Good experience with Firewall infrastructure (preferably Checkpoint)
Good hands-on experience in the networking field
Good understanding of networking technology and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Routing Protocols etc.)
Knowledge of structured cabling design (copper and fibre) and patching
Experience of test equipment including cable testers and network analyzers
Previous experience with network management tools
Experience of incident management systems (preferably ServiceCenter)

Industry recognised qualification such as Cisco CCNA / CCNP
