Etica is looking for a Technical Architect with Desktop skills to join a Leisure Company.
As the Technical Architect -DESKTOP you will be developing and designing end user computer solutions for my client whilst ensuring long-term design goals are set and achieved. Although predominately accountable for end user computer systems design this role will also cover other areas of my clients infrastructure.
The Technical Architect-DESKTOP must ensure that all programme/project technical issues and risks are managed, you will Provide economical pre evaluations and estimates for business ideas to assist in approval decision making and planning. Provide prototype designs for initiatives across all my clients platforms and support the implementation of the most appropriate technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the detailed design and implementation of technical solutions across programmes or multiple projects relating particularly to standard desktop deployment, and management automation.
•Work with the Information Security Manager to define infrastructure security standards
•Identify and drive forward the implementation of solutions that deliver new functionality and make technology more cost effective.
•Ensure third party suppliers in order to ensure compliance with infrastructure standards
•Evaluation of software tools, products and architecture.
•Manage third party suppliers and project teams to ensure the Infrastructure is developed with the appropriate levels of resilience minimising single points of failure
•Ensure that Service Delivery are able to take on support of new infrastructures
•Provide capacity planning forecasts for core hardware components, recommend improvements to drive down costs and improve efficiency
MAIN SKILLS:
Windows XP, Vista, 7- supporting, upgrade, configuration, diagnostics and performance tuning.
Active Directory
MS Office suite- Installation, support and training.
Hardware maintenance.
sms and sccm experience
LAN/WAN, WAP, VLAN, VPN TCP/IP, ADSL, DSL, ISDN setup and support.
BackUp Exec experience.
Oracle Database, SQL server and scripting experience.
You need to know about application packages and how they are built.
